Children from Y6 at St Joseph’s R.C. Primary performed the Chalky ‘the Crayford Swallow’ musical at Hall Place on 2nd November and St Paulinus C.E. Primary School performed the same show in the St Paulinus Church Hall on the 11th November. Both performances were supported by composer Russell Hepplewhite, Director Helen Eastman and violinist and Assistant Director Olly Platt.
The children at each school were involved in developing their own lyrics to pay tribute to William White to mark the 11.11.11.11 anniversary. The audiences at both performances were deeply moved by the children’s work exemplified by the haunting chorus of the final song ‘One of our boys has come home, One of Crayford’s boys.’
